I am a school counselor and these pens have been a great addition to use with my students. Used this for my in-home escape room puzzles. It is still working just fine after 6 months light use. Also bought a small UV flashlight for the escapers to use. The tiny light on the back of the pen does let you see what you've written, but its beam is narrow and a bit weak for use in the escape room.

My children saw a similar product at a similar price point recently. Only problem was that there were only two pens. So i bought these ones and they have been a big hit to my science-loving kids with very active imaginations. They love creating and being able to send secret notes via these pens. The youngest immediately took one outside to look for scorpions since it is a UV light. So really my only concern is kids shining these lights into eyes but that one is a parenting issue
